At the end of 2023, Belarusians purchased almost 145 thousand New Year trees, which is 8 thousand more than in 2022. Forestry enterprises set a record for their sale, reports press service of the department.
The forestry enterprises of the Grodno State Forestry Agency have become the new leader in the country in the sale of New Year’s trees. Despite the fact that the region is the smallest, it has surpassed even the capital in the demand for Christmas trees.
Thus, the forestry enterprises of the Grodno State Forestry Agency sold about 31.2 thousand New Year’s trees, the Minsk State Forestry Agency – 30.7 thousand. The Vitebsk region is in third place in terms of demand for natural New Year’s trees. Forestry enterprises of the northern region sold more than 26.5 thousand New Year’s trees.
