New Yorkers were shrouded in thick smog on Wednesday.

Since Tuesday, smoke from the wildfires has been reaching the popular tourist town, so the sky has changed color today and the smell of burning reigned.

“We had conferences at the Bloomberg building downtown and in the afternoon none of the terraces were accessible, everything was closed,” he adds.

The businessman even explains that surgical masks were given at the exit of the building located in Manhattan. Anyone who hasn’t visited the Big Apple for the first time can see how much smog is present at the moment.

“I’ve never seen that, it’s very polluted and you could smell the smoke […] we were downtown this afternoon and the sky was very yellow,” he laments.

At the end of the day Wednesday the air quality in New York was still considered very unhealthy according to The National Weather Service.
