The General Auditing Office discovered that millions of sums of money had been disbursed to some “forensic medicine” practitioners in violation of regulations and instructions. The Bureau decided to collect the amounts retroactively from a large number of those to whom the allowance was paid.
For the years 2019-2020-2021, the disbursement will be reviewed in the years 2022 and 2023 by identifying all those receiving the allowance who do not meet the disbursement conditions and taking appropriate measures in this regard.
The Bureau stressed that the Ministry of Health should recover the amounts deducted from salaries monthly and provide it with copies of the implementation decisions. Al-Madina learned that the amounts that will be restored to the state’s general treasury have reached 12 million riyals in some directorates.
The Bureau had observed a large number of employees receiving the allowance in an irregular manner.
It should be noted that the Ministry of Health has suspended the “forensic medicine” practice allowance for all workers in hospitals and forensic medicine centers in the regions of the Kingdom in order to work on accurate correction and review.
In its issue issued on Sunday, Rabi’ al-Akhir, Sunday 21st, Al-Madina published the details under the title “Suspension of forensic medicine allowance after monitoring irregularities in disbursement.”
It should be noted that the amounts to be recovered for some employees amounted to 600 thousand riyals, spent over 3 years.
