KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. Foreign investors continue to sell large cap shares on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. As of Thursday (1/10), foreigners recorded a net sell of Rp. 13.39 trillion.
Shares that are widely released by foreigners, for example the shares of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA), PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BBRI), PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia (TLKM), PT Bank Mandiri Tbk (BMRI), and PT Astra International Tbk (ASII).
Head of Research for Samuel Sekuritas, Suria Dharma, said that foreign selling was evenly distributed in almost all shares. This makes JCI volatility in the short term relatively high. “It’s not that stocks with the largest foreign sales figures have a worse prospect than other stocks,” he said.

In current conditions, short-term investors can actually take advantage of the moment to trade the blue chip stocks.
According to Maxiliamus Nico, Associate Director of Research and Investment at Pilarmas Investindo, many blue chip stocks have good fundamentals, but are cheap.
“So, if you buy and the price drops, investors can use a buy and hold strategy,” he added.
For investors, the crisis condition is actually an opportunity to enter. However, there are also investors who have another view, namely waiting for clearer market conditions, so that it is easier to see the bottom of the share price concerned.
