“Foreign Mercenaries Killed in Attack on Ukrainian-Held City of Konstantinovka by Iskander Missile System”

MOSCOW – As many as 60 foreign mercenaries were killed in an attack on the Ukrainian-held city of Konstantinovka in Russia’s Donetsk People’s Republic.

“Up to 60 members of the so-called Georgian Legion were killed and 15 military vehicles were destroyed in the attack, while another 20 mercenaries were seriously injured,” Russian Ministry of Defense spokesman Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov told a briefing on Monday (24/4/2023).

He said the attack, carried out using an Iskander short-range ballistic missile system, targeted a library in Konstantinovka, which foreign fighters use to contain and store ammunition.

“Military Georgia Legion militants were involved in the brutal torture and killing of Russian servicemen near Kiev in March last year,” Konashenkov said.

According to him, the Russian military has data on every foreign mercenary associated with the killing of Russian prisoners of war.

“Every one of them will get the retribution they deserve,” he said.
