Italian schools have the opportunity to welcome a foreign language assistant (English, French, Spanish and German) during the next school year 2021/2022.
Who is the language assistant
The language assistant is a young graduate, or university student, with a basic knowledge of the Italian language, who is selected in the European country of origin to carry out activities in the classroom, supporting the teacher of a foreign language and culture or of a subject not linguistics in the case of CLIL lessons for 12 hours per week over a period of time that can vary from a minimum of 6 months up to a maximum of 8 months.
Deadline
The UU.SS.RR. must identify by 22 March 2021 the educational institutions of all levels that will welcome the language assistant, according to the procedures and criteria specified below.
Period
The period of performance of the foreign language assistants in Italy is as follows:
Austria – German 1 October 2021 – 31 May 2022
Belgium – French 1st October 2021– 31st May 2022
France – French 1 October 2021 – 30 April 2022
Ireland – English 1 October 2021 – 31 May 2022
Germany – German 1 October 2021 – 31 March 2022
United Kingdom – English 1 October 2021 – 31 May 2022
Spain Spanish -1 October 2021 – 31 May 2022
