Details: The journalists received information from Egyptian officials on condition of anonymity.

The agreement stipulates that foreign citizens caught in the Gaza Strip by the escalation will be able to travel from there to Egypt through the Rafah checkpoint on Saturday afternoon. Qatar was also allegedly involved in the negotiations.

According to one of the interlocutors, both Israel, Hamas and the Islamist Jihad group agreed not to pose a threat or interfere with the departure of foreigners. In addition, negotiations are ongoing to allow transport of humanitarian aid for the civilian population into the sector through the same checkpoint.

The agreement does not apply to foreigners who were held hostage after Hamas raided Israeli settlements.

Israel previously announced that Palestinian civilians should leave the northern Gaza Strip.

Let us remind you: First Minister of Scotland said that his Palestinian wife’s parents, who live in Britain but went there to visit relatives, were stuck in the Gaza Strip due to the escalation.
