Experts from the domestic car market have made a forecast that sales of new electric vehicles in our country may increase this year by approximately 4 times in annual terms, that is, up to 12-13 thousand units. The forecast was presented by the analytical agency Autostat.
“Sales of new electric vehicles in Russia by the end of 2023 could amount to 12-13 thousand units: an increase of 4-4.3 times,” Autostat said. It is noted that last year 3 thousand new electric vehicles were sold in the country.
Earlier it was reported that an electric car became the best-selling car in the world for the first time in history. Tesla Model Y has become the best-selling car in the world, not only among electric cars, but also among cars with an internal combustion engine. In the first quarter of 2023, the American company’s electric car sold 267.2 thousand units. It overtook two other world bestsellers – Toyota Corolla (256.4 thousand units) and RAV4 (214.7 thousand units).
