In Finland, a “super low pressure” is forecast at the beginning of next week. It can cause “very violent” thunderstorms, as well as rain, wind and heat.
– Now the weather maps for the beginning of next week show a low pressure that I can’t remember seeing before in my 15 years as a meteorologist, meteorologist Joanna Rinne writes in Finnish Foreca their websites.
July has been rainy in large parts of Finland, and the forecasts do not indicate that it will stop anytime soon.
Rinne writes that if the low pressure materializes as the forecasts indicate, it will be a “storm that will be talked about for a long time”.
– In thunderstorms, you should therefore be prepared for plenty of lightning, heavy rain, severe thunderstorms, hail and destructive wind phenomena such as tornadoes, she writes.
