The US car company “Ford” announced on Friday that it will eliminate approximately 1,100 jobs in Spain in an effort to reduce expenses.

The jobs will be eliminated at the factory in Valencia, which will stop production of the S-Max and Galaxy models from April.
This announcement was made public after Ford announced in February that it would eliminate 3,800 jobs in Europe, including 2,300 jobs in Germany.
Like other car manufacturers, “Ford” has also decided to focus on the production of electric cars, which requires large investments to develop new technologies and reorganize production facilities.
