(CercleFinance.com) – Ford on Thursday announced a 5.9% increase in its sales of new vehicles in November in the United States, with deliveries of the F-Series range having notably increased by 15% over the period.
The automotive group, number two in the sector in the United States, announced that it had sold precisely 158,793 vehicles last month, against 149,931 a year earlier.
November turned out to be particularly strong in terms of demand for new models, led by Bronco Sport, but above all for SUVs and large pick-ups which now generate almost all sales.
Sales of Ford-branded SUVs, which include the new Bronco, rose 25% last month, while sales of pick-ups rose 5%, including a 15% increase for the popular line of trucks. F-Series.
Ford stock rose almost 1.8% after the figures were released, compared with a gain of 1.2% for the S&P 500 index.
