The premiere of the compact electric van in the regular travel version will take place already on Monday.
Ford continues to expand its portfolio of purely electric cars on the European market. After the recent premiere of the all-new Explorer model, this time we will most likely see the E-Tourneo Courier personal van, as suggested by a post on the social networking site Twitter.
The brand’s European representative here boasted that it plans to introduce a new electric car on Monday, May 15, 2023. At the same time, the brand also published a photo, from which it is clear that it should be a personal sibling of the utility model E-Transit Courier.
The car has a closed radiator grille that looks quite impressive. The plating and silver decor in the front bumper then indicate that it could theoretically be an Active version, intended for more adventurous customers. However, we only have one photo available for now.
In terms of design, we don’t expect any significant changes, perhaps with the exception of more valuable-looking wheels or paintwork. In the cabin, we expect a similar environment, including 12-inch screens for the digital instrument panel and infotainment. We expect great practicality again, but probably supplemented with more valuable decors and upholstery.
Under the hood, similar to the E-Transit Courier, one electric motor with a power of 100 kW (136 hp) could appear, powered by a battery with an as yet unspecified capacity. However, the car should support fast charging at up to 100 kW, thanks to which it should be able to get a range of about 87 km in just 10 minutes. Charging from 10 to 80% should then take about 35 minutes.
At the beginning of the year, spy photographers also caught the E-Transit/E-Tourneo Courier model during tests with an internal combustion engine. So maybe we will get a nice surprise from Ford. However, we will have to wait for more information.
