Recall includes 620,483 vehicles in the US, Canada and Mexico

The US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has asked for a recall.

The American automaker Ford is recalling over 661,000 Ford Explorer crossovers in North America due to a problem with the detachment of the roof rails plugs. The agency reported this the day before. Reuters.

The US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has asked for a recall.

If necessary, the dealer will install special pins and replace the damage. Since the beginning of 2020, 11 people have reported problems with the rails. However, Ford is not aware of any accidents or injuries associated with this technical issue.

The recall is said to include 620,483 vehicles in the US, 36,419 in Canada and 4,260 in Mexico.

In January it became known that Ford will recall 3 million cars due to airbag problems. At the same time, the US regulator rejected Ford’s request to cancel the recall and noted a “significant safety risk” from the Takata airbags.

It was previously reported that Honda recalls 130 thousand cars in Canada due to potential transmission and software issues.
