Ford Recalls 422,000 SUVs in US Due to Camera Glitch

Ford Motor Co. is recalling 422,000 SUVs in the United States because of a possible image processing unit failure that would prevent rear-view camera images from being displayed.

The recall covers 2020-2023 Lincoln Explorer and Aviator models and 2020-2022 Lincoln Corsair models equipped with a 360-degree camera..

The company had withdrawn cars from its production for the same reason in 2021 and 2023. Last year, Ford modified its image processing unit software to try to fix the problem.

Ford said Thursday that it is “working with suppliers to determine the root cause of the problem and provide an appropriate solution as soon as possible.”“.
