The Mustang Mach 1 has parts from Shelby versions, the eight-cylinder sends 460 horsepower to the rear wheels
The roar of an eight-cylinder, better dynamics and safer behavior on the race track. This is supposed to bring a new limited edition Ford Mustang with the legendary designation Mach 1which is officially imported into Europe. Because versions are not sold here Shelby GT350 years GT500, it is still the roughest Mustang officially imported to the old continent.
The high-speed atmospheric eight-cylinder achieves a maximum output of 338 W, ie 460 hp at 7250 rpm. At 4900 rpm, a torque of 529 Nm comes into play. These are therefore the same values as in limited edition Bullitt, the standard Mustang GT is slightly weaker with 330 kW (449 hp).
Mustang Mach 1 is more focused on circuit driving. He therefore received a diffuser from the Shelby GT500 model and a cover of the lower parts provided with ribbing, which leads the air to the brakes. The rear spoiler is also specific. The result is 22 percent better downforce than the standard GT Mustang. Some chassis components are also taken from the Shelby models.
There is a choice of a ten-speed automatic transmission or a six-speed manual Tremec 3160 box. It is equipped with a two-plate clutch, which is intended to guarantee more aggressive gear changes. You can also shift under gas, and the system also helps with automatic intermediate gas when downshifting. The rear axle does not lack a self-locking differential.
Ford packed the sporty Mustang Mach 1 with a range of equipment, including seat heating and cooling, an internet-connected entertainment system and B&O sound systems. The model is available for 1,649,900 crowns with a manual and 1,719,900 crowns with an automatic. That is about 350 thousand crowns more than the basic eight-cylinder GT costs, and 283 thousand more than the Bullitt variant.
