The Ford Mustang remains the most emblematic model of the American manufacturer’s range. It arrives with a new special edition called California.
Spirit “West Coast” obliges, this California series is available for the first time on the European market. It is inspired by a version with an identical name, but released in 1968 in the United States. It is only available in a convertible version (with a soft top). Its other particularities concern “Race Red” colored GT/CS badges and “colour shift” decoration (side decals which are revealed when they take on the sun), a honeycomb grille in “Ebony” finish black”, and a more prominent front diffuser. Nine colors are available, including this superb orange, very… Californian, which really highlights the 19” rims with their dark finish.
V8 only
The Ford Mustang California Special also gains heated front seats in gray leather and Alcantara enhanced with red stitching, instrumentation with a 12” screen and “Mustang California Special” logos. Under the hood, only the V8 5.0 block of 450 hp and 529 Nm, power transmitted to the rear wheels only. The customer retains the choice between the 6-speed manual transmission and the 10-speed automatic. A limited-slip differential and MagneRide suspension are also standard, to ensure sporty driving. No prices yet revealed at the time of writing these lines.
