Hermosillo.- This Friday, February 19, operations at the Ford Hermosillo plant resumed, after having been unemployed since Saturday the 13th due to the effects of the lack of natural gas supply.
The leader of the Ford union, Ricardo Martínez Herrera, communicated in writing to the employees of the two shifts that they started with production in a normal way and thanked the employees for their availability, who had to be sent home.
Brayan Rodríguez, one of the employees of the plant, said that since Thursday afternoon they were notified that the employees of the two shifts had to report.
“From Tuesday to Thursday we were unemployed, the two shifts already spoke to us, the same from 6:00 to 4:30 and from 4:00 to 1:00.”
The plant had suspended work 75 percent on the second shift and employees were notified daily if the strike continued.
Meanwhile, the Ford Company plant released a statement explaining that to minimize the use of natural gas required to heat homes, it was decided to cancel operations for a week at the assembly plants in Ohio and Hermosillo.
