Ford offers the first look at the new generation of Ranger pickups.
–
The current Ford Ranger has been in production since 2011, and the successor will be introduced in full parade this year. And next year, according to the American carmaker, it will go to the market.
Ford attracts the new Ranger with a video that captures masked prototypes when tested in challenging terrain of various types – in mud, desert, gravel or snow.
The company then speaks of the novelty as “so far the most durable, most capable and most connected Ranger with excellent off-road properties and driving DNA of the Ford brand”. Pick-up should be an ideal partner for work, family and entertainment.

We do not yet have information on the technology, but from previous reports we assume that the Ranger will also undergo some degree of electrification. At least there is talk of a plug-in hybrid variant, a fully electric version that is offered in the USA larger F-150, is still a big unknown.
But we know the platform of the new Ranger will also use Volkswagen and its next-generation Amarok. The new Amarok should also arrive in 2022. The carmakers emphasize that the pair of pick-ups will differ significantly in their appearance. But the engines will share the cars.
