The Ford F-150, one of the best-selling cars in the United States, has become a symbol of American sports pickups and off-road vehicles in the Raptor version. However, a few years ago, it was deprived of the title of the most powerful raging pick-up by the rival RAM TRX, under the hood of which was stored a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 Hellcat engine, tuned to 702 horsepower.
The blue oval, which installs a turbocharged V6 in the standard F-150 Raptor, didn’t have an answer for the TRX for a long time. In the end, the solution was the F-150 Raptor R model, under the hood of which was a 5.2-liter supercharged engine from the Shelby GT500 sports car.

However, while the Shelby GT500 offered up to 760 horsepower, the Ford F-150 Raptor R was tuned for 700 horsepower. The reason was an effort to offer more power in the lower range of the tachometer, but the Raptor R still remained weaker than the RAM 1500 TRX. Even if only by two horses.
But in the end, the Ford F-150 Raptor R won the title of the most powerful mass-produced pickup truck. Thanks to a recent upgrade that brought a modified mask and lights, dynamic turn signals, modified equipment and various little things, the Raptor R gained an additional 20 horsepower, bringing the final output to 720 horsepower.
Both modified engine tuning and reduction of losses in the intake air should have contributed to the increase in performance, which was contributed to by the modification of the body panels. The maximum torque remains 868 Nm, but it should be available in a wider range of revolutions.
