Ford F-150 Lightning: The Future of Electric Pickup Trucks Hits Czech Roads

When you hear the term “big American pickup truck”, everyone automatically thinks of the roar of the eight-cylinder. But Ford is already thinking about the future and has converted its best-selling model into an electric car. The first pieces are already moving on Czech roads.

For almost fifty years, the best-selling vehicle in the United States has been the Ford F-series pick-up truck. By European standards, a huge machine built on a frame chassis is often no longer just a work tool, but rather a comfortable family car. Still, it retains primarily six- and eight-cylinder engines. Even in this category, however, the future is beginning to be thought of, so Ford electrified its bestseller.

At first glance, the Ford F-150 Lightning is not that different from the combustion variant. But this galloper hides a powerful electric motor and a huge battery in its guts. And that it is not just ordinary, it also proves after the massive LED lights on both ends are turned on. The impressive looking electric car is no longer the privilege of America alone, it is officially imported to Europe as well, albeit only to Norway.

However, we have already received a few pieces thanks to individual imports. On Czech roads, Lightning will definitely not fit in, but it will also surprise you with its capabilities. We borrowed one such piece in almost the highest equipment from the Ford AMB dealer and tried to live with it for a week in Czech conditions. You can find out what we found out in our video.
