E-Tourneo Courier does not go unnoticed thanks to the front designa comfortable 44 liter frunk[[1]and superior amenities such as i large digital displays and the full range of Ford driver assistance systems.
The electric version of the new compact five-seater Multi-Activity Vehicle offers up to 288 km of autonomy[[2]con fast charging and various solutions to simplify the charging experience, both at home and on the go.
Production will begin by the end of 2024, with deliveries expected in the spring.
Electric motorization
E-Tourneo Courier has a 43 kWh battery (useful) which allows you to travel up to 288 km.1 The electric motor delivers 100 kW of power and 290 Nm of torque[[3]to guarantee great reactivity on urban routes and comfortable driving at higher speeds or with a full load. With a maximum towable weight of 750 kg[[4]allows the transport of a small trolley and even a dinghy.
The driving mode Lonce you take your foot off the accelerator, it delivers advanced regenerative braking that allows you to recover energy and optimize autonomy; alternatively you can also use the mode of single pedal drive[[5]. Furthermore, the Normal, Eco, Sport and Slippery modesto modify the accelerator response adapting it to different driving conditions.
For longer trips, E-Tourneo Courier easily accesses public charging stations of the BlueOval Charge Network which, with its over 800,000 charging stations, is one of the largest in Europe.[[6]And 100 kW DC fast charger allows you to add 100 km of range in approximately 10 minuteswhile a normal charge from 10 to 80% takes about 23 minutes.[[7]
E-Tourneo Courier can also be recharged with a 11 kW AC power supply in less than 5.5 hours.7 It is also possible to precondition the battery and the passenger compartment to optimize the vehicle’s autonomy, using the 12-inch touchscreen on the dashboard or via theapp FordPass.[[8]The two-year maintenance interval with no mileage limits helps reduce costs and visits to the dealership.
Exciting design, advanced technology
E-Tourneo Courier is the perfect companion for a dynamic life and for those who love outdoor adventures. Its design, which has already become an icon in Italy, combines the grandeur of classic Ford SUVs with the futuristic lines typical of electric vehicles. The impressive diamond-cut chrome grille, the light bar that runs across the entire front and the aerodynamic design of the wheels give it a high-tech character. At the same time, the high bonnet line and the reduced overhangs convey an idea of compactness, guaranteeing maximum maneuverability, visibility and internal space capable of satisfying the needs of those looking for a perfect car for the family.
The electric model offers advanced technological solutions such as 12-inch driver’s side digital instrument cluster, and a broad touchscreen centralealso 12 inches, with the sistema Ford SYNC 4[[9]e mirroring wireless[[10]. The convenient split-screen mode allows you to control media, navigation and other secondary functions. The integrated modem[[11]guarantees complete connectivity of the vehicle, which can update with new software versions as happens with smartphones. The optional 230V, 400W AC socket at the bottom of the instrument panel allows you to charge laptops and small devices.
In Italy, E-Tourneo Courier will be available in the Titanium versionfull of standard, technological and on-board comfort contents, starting from the range of driving assistance systems[[12]. The equipment includes: Lane-Keeping System (lane maintenance), Pre-Collision Assist (pre-collision emergency braking assistance) with Pedestrian and Cyclist Detection (detection of people on foot and on bicycles), Intelligent Speed Assist (speed limiter intelligent speed), Traffic Sign Recognition (recognition of road signs), Driver Alert (monitoring of driving attention), Wrong Way Alert (contrasting traffic warning), Auto High Beam (automatic high beams), front and rear parking sensors and camera rear.
The equipment can be further enriched with an optional pack that adds Adaptive Cruise Control (adaptive and intelligent cruise control) with Lane Centering (maintenance of the lane center) and Stop & Go,[[13]Post-Collision Braking (post-collision braking), Reverse Brake Assist (emergency braking assistance when reversing), Evasive Steering Assist (anti-collision steering assistance), Intersection Assist (anti-collision assistant with Intersection Assist technology), Blind Spot Information System (blind spot monitoring) and connected navigation.[[14]
Maximum space, maximum practicality
Like the corresponding petrol model, E-Tourneo Courier was designed to comfortably carry five passengers and their luggage. In addition to emphasizing the rugged character of the exterior, the reduced overhangs and the simple and clear lines they create a passenger compartment and cargo area that maximize the available volumes. The high roofline and large glass surfaces offer more headroom and let in more natural light, for comfortable journeys.
Compared to the previous generation Tourneo Courier, it is increased shoulder and headroom. The electric variant also features a new central console configurable to accommodate devices the size of a laptop or A4 foldersand can be divided into glass holders and object holders. Other compartments include a hidden compartment in the boot and a 44-litre frunk, ideal for storing your charging cable or wet or dirty clothing and items after outdoor adventures.
The boot of the E-Tourneo Courier can contain objects over one meter long and offers 1,188 liters of space,2 which with the rear seats folded becomes 2,162 litres2, for a maximum length of 1,429 mm. The three-seat rear row is split 60/40, with the seats folding and folding to create additional space. The two entrance panels are also equipped with the ISOFIX system.
The low boot floor simplifies loading heavy luggage and also allows the small dogs can get in and out of the E-Tourneo Courier more easily than in a traditional SUV. The sliding side doors are particularly useful in narrow parking spaces, facilitating the movements of those who have to fasten the seat belts and avoiding damage and dents when the rear door is opened near other cars.
