Ford Bronco it’s coming to Europe. The house of the blue oval, in fact, has announced that this model will soon be available in some car markets of the Old Continent, including Italy. A precise date on the arrival in the dealerships has not yet been communicated. However, the Ford Bronco has already appeared in the Italian configurator.
This model will be proposed in the varianti Outer Banks e Badlandsboth powered by a 2.7-litre Ford EcoBoost V6 engine delivering 335PS and 563Nm of torque. Prices Italians? We start from, respectively, 77,000 euros and 81,000 euros. Compared to the American market, therefore, this model in Europe will be offered in fewer versions. In addition, the automaker has highlighted that the Bronco, in Europe, will be offered in a limited number of specimens. FORD BRONCO IN EUROPA
Ford Bronco is built on a ladder frame made of high-strength steel with seven crosspieces to be able to easily tackle any type of route, even the most difficult.
The front of the vehicle is characterized by a full-width grille, circular headlights and eye-catching lettering. The square body panels are designed to make the outside corners of the vehicle more visible and keep the overall dimensions under control. This model is equipped with a removable hardtop divided into four panels, two of which, the front ones, can be stowed with dedicated bags on board the vehicle. All doors can be removed completely and individually with just one tool and in just eight minutes. Once removed, they can be stored in dedicated bags inside the vehicle, and can then be easily refitted in just a few minutes.
As mentioned at the outset, the Ford Bronco models available for the European market all feature the 2.7-litre Ford EcoBoost V6 engine. The change is a 10-speed automatic. Of course, all-wheel drive is present.
Bronco Outer Banks is equipped with an electronically managed center differential that allows you to change from normal to low gear, simply by pressing a button. Bronco Badlands adds a lockable front differential and front stabilizer bar deactivation system for maximum agility in difficult terrain. In addition, the electronically controlled center differential can automatically switch between two and four-wheel drive depending on conditions.
Bronchus is equipped with HOSS suspension (High-Performance Off-Road Stability Suspension), which include independent arms with long-travel coil springs at the front. At the rear, a five-link axle with variable-calibration long-travel springs is fitted as standard, combined with shock absorbers designed for the toughest jobs. Bronco Badlands can count on Bilstein shock absorbers.
Obviously there is also a lot of technology. We find the Terrain Management System, a traction management system that allows the driver to easily select the driving mode according to the terrain conditions. In addition to street modes like Normal, Eco, Sport and Slippery, dedicated off-road modes include Mud/Ruts, Sand and a racing-inspired Baja mode for Bronco Badlands.
Inside the passenger compartment, on the other hand, we find an 8-inch screen for the digital instruments and the central 12-inch touch display of the sistema infotainment SYNC 4 with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There are, of course, various driver assistance systems.
