Ford Announces Discounts for F-150 Lightning Electric Pickups Starting October 2023

Ford has decided to cut the cost of the F-150 Lightning electric pickups. But the discount will only be valid from October 2023.

What is known

Starting from the second month of autumn, the cost of the Ford F-150 Lightning will drop by $6,000-10,000. The basic version will cost $49,995, and the most expensive Platinum Extended Range will cost $91,995.

One of the reasons for the decline in prices is the scaling up of production. Ford’s Michigan facility is set to reach 150,000 pickups a year by October. In addition, the cost of raw materials for batteries is falling in the world.

To encourage shoppers to pre-order now, the company is offering a $1,000 discount. But the special offer is valid only until the end of this month. It is also worth noting that for the delivery of the car to the dealer you need to pay almost $2000.

The Platinum Extended Range is the only electric pickup truck that is exempt from federal subsidies. Buyers of other versions of the F-150 Lightning II will be able to save an additional $7,500.
