Forced labor on China’s cotton plantations is putting companies under pressure

In the past few months, western companies have increasingly terminated their business relationships with Chinese suppliers from the province of Xinjiang. The reason was rumors of a forced labor system in which the cotton suppliers should be involved. The allegations have now been confirmed and the pressure is increasing for many western companies.
