TRIBUNNEWS.COM, JAKARTA — Forbes Media released a list of the richest people in all corners of the earth.
This year there are as many as 2,640 billionaires recorded in the list of well-known media.
These rich people come from 77 countries around the world.

This figure means an increase of two from last year as many as 75 countries.
Forbes said, the United States is back as the country with the highest number of billionaires, namely 735 people.
This number has not changed from last year.
Although nearly 50 Americans, including Kanye West and Sam Bankman-Fried, dropped in the rankings and dozens of other billionaires died, more than 60 Americans joined the billionaire ranks for the first time this year, including LeBron James and Tiger Woods.
Despite this, the US is no longer home to the world’s richest man, Luxury goods tycoon Bernard Arnault, a French national, overtook Elon Musk in the rankings.
However, the US still claims to have 17 of the 25 richest people in the world.
Overall, US billionaires have a collective worth of US$4.5 trillion, down from US$4.7 trillion a year ago.
Because, markets are retreating, multibillion-dollar “unicorn” startups are stumbling and interest rate hikes are haunting investors.
Following the United States, China is in second place with the highest number of billionaires, namely 495 people (excluding Hong Kong and Macau).

This figure has decreased from 2022, namely as many as 539 billionaires with a wealth of US$1.96 trillion.
Some of the best-known names in China knocked out include e-cigarette tycoon Xiong Shaoming and Zhao Weiguo, chairman of Tsinghua Unigroup, a Chinese state-backed semiconductor business.
