Lewandowski admits: I no longer believed in the record

In the new Forbes list, Lewandowski has to give way to his international competitors. A Portuguese is at the top.

Cristiano Ronaldo (36) and Lionel Messi (34) remain financially the measure of all things in world football even after their spectacular club changes.

The Portuguese superstar receives after returning to Manchester United, according to the Forbes-Magazine $ 125 million annually, equivalent to just under 107 million euros. Permanent rival Messi, now in the service of Paris St. Germain, earns “only” around 94 million euros per year.

Behind Messi in third and fourth are his PSG strike partners Neymar (81 million) and Kylian Mbappe (37 million). World footballer Robert Lewandowski from the German record champions Bayern Munich follows in sixth place with 30 million euros. (Report: Superstar? That’s what Lewandowski is all about)
