In the fall of 2019, filmmaker Samuel Theis returned to Forbach to shoot Small type , his second feature film after Party Girl. The film tells the story of Johnny, a sensitive and intelligent coal boy, who stands out from his family and his difficult neighborhood. Role played by a young boy from Nancy, Aliocha Reinert.
Small type, presented at the last Cannes Film Festival, at the Critics’ Week, has just won Sunday the Golden Alexander, first prize at the 62nd Thessaloniki International Film Festival, in Greece.

Theatrical release scheduled for March 2022

Last August, at the Angoulême francophone film festival, the film won the Valois for French-speaking students. The theatrical release of the feature film by the director forbach, delayed due to the health crisis, should take place in spring 2022, probably in March. And Samuel Theis should come to launch his film in the coal basin, undoubtedly at the Mega Kiné of Freyming-Merlebach.
