Bird flu was diagnosed for the second time this year at a broiler farm in the Frisian village of Blija. 80,000 broilers are culled, reports the Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA).

Last January, the company also cleaned up after the diagnosis of avian flu. Within an area of one kilometer there is another poultry farm. There are currently no animals there due to a previous bird flu infection in September.

Within three kilometers there are three other poultry farms, which are being investigated by the NVWA. A transport ban applies to nine companies located in the ten kilometer zone.
