This Wednesday, August 28, at the Stade de l’Aube, the French Blood Establishment of the Grand-Est is organizing a blood drive for the first time in partnership with Estac and the Departmental Union of Volunteer Blood Donors. More than 120 people are expected at the premises of the Club des Légendes.
“As we approach the start of the school year, we are facing low attendance at donation locations while health establishments are resuming their activities. This collection is very important, we hope to collect more than 120 bags.”specifies the EFS in a joint press release with Estac. As a reminder, the needs of patients are constant and blood products have a limited lifespan (42 days for red blood cells, only 7 days for platelets and 1 to 3 years for plasma).
To promote blood donation, the EFS Grand Est is developing collections in unusual and prestigious locations in the region. These blood collections are an opportunity to offer a unique experience to donors and future donors. Donors will have the privilege of meeting ESTAC players and will benefit from a snack improved by Pascal Caffet.
Please note that the pro group training session will be open that day, from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. People will therefore be able, if necessary, to do training and then donate blood. In addition, on the same day at 3 p.m., the EFS Grand Est, Estac and the Departmental Union of Volunteer Blood Donor Associations of Aube will formalize their partnership by signing an agreement.
