For the first time in the history of Boston Dynamics, the company has succeeded in sending two of its impressive Atlas robots over an obstacle course at the same time without them getting stuck on the obstacles or falling over. The first of the two robots ran up a row of sheets of plywood, jumped a gap, and ran up and down stairs on the course set up on the second floor of Boston Dynamics headquarters. The second robot jumped on a balance beam and did the same steps in reverse order, then the first robot jumped over the beam. In most of the previous videos by Boston Dynamics, the robots only played various movement patterns, according to their own statements, while algorithms and the like provided the necessary stability. In the new video, the two complete a decent parkour route and recognize obstacles on their own, so they develop their route all by themselves.
