For the first time in the country’s history, the leadership of the education boards was entrusted to the Aga Khan Board

The Interboard Committee of Chairmen is a joint official forum of all the education boards of Pakistan, in which all other institutions are government except a private institution, the Aga Khan University Examination Board, which includes a group of 7 education boards of Sindh, a group of education boards of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In addition to a group of education boards, there is a separate group consisting of “an education board of Balochistan province, a federal education board, Azad Kashmir education board and Gilgit-Baltistan education board as well as Aga Khan University education board” and every year IBCC is headed by someone It is held by the government education boards of a province.

However, when this time the Chairmanship of IBCC was to be handed over to one of the groups of “Balochistan Education Board, a Federal Education Board, Azad Kashmir Education Board, Gilgit-Baltistan Education Board and Aga Khan University Education Board”. A proposal to give the headship of IBCC to the private institution Aga University Education Board came out and in the light of this proposal, a notification was issued by the Federal Ministry of Education and Vocational Training to entrust the headship of IBCC to the Aga Khan University Examination Board. .

Ziauddin University Board, another private educational board in Pakistan, is currently not an IBCC member, but is likely to become an IBCC member soon.

It is to be noted that IBCC, which consists of educational boards across the country, is the authorized body of the Government of Pakistan, which has the authority to declare the credentials of other foreign educational boards, including “A and A Level”, as equivalent or to reject them.
