Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) — The “Miss World” competition revealed that the United Arab Emirates will host the 71st edition of the event this year.
The announcement was published through the official account of the “Miss World” organization on the “Instagram” website, which was confirmed by Julia Morley, who is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of “Miss World Ltd.”
“I am delighted to announce that the 71st edition of the Miss World competition will be held in the United Arab Emirates,” Morley said in the post.
This is the first time that the UAE has hosted this competition since its inception in 1951.
Poland’s Karolina Bilawska was crowned Miss World in the 70th edition of this competition, where the contestants and organizers expressed their solidarity with the Ukrainians during a salute by lighting candles on stage at the end of the event.
