PARIS: Rabih Kayrouz returned to the haute couture shows for the first time in three years, showcasing a diverse collection in Paris on Monday.
The Lebanese designer’s collection included elegant evening dresses and suits.
The collection featured embroidery around the waist and neck. Most of the looks came in single colors such as ivory, black, or bright yellow.
He told reporters after the show, “For me, haute couture is not one style or one attitude. It is experience.”
Kayrouz added that since the outbreak of the pandemic, he began to care about the role of clothing in providing protection, which he presented in robes, jackets, and dresses that cover the entire body.
The show took place on the first day of Paris Fashion Week, which runs until Thursday and features the most prestigious fashion houses such as Christian Dior and Chanel.
