Azerbaijan Judo Federation (ACF) for the first time organized an official exam for belt degrees. According to the information provided by ACF to SIA, the exam took place in the Baku Sports Palace. It was reported that it is important for athletes to thoroughly learn judo techniques, as well as for their motivation. said that it was a first in the history of judo: “140 athletes participated here. Evaluations are conducted transparently by an experienced jury. It forms the foundation of young judoka’s careers and acts as a motivating force. Let me note that from 2025, only those with belt degrees will have the right to participate in official domestic competitions.” Mehmet Yılmaz, director of education of the Turkish Judo Federation and member of the kata commission of the European Judo Union, congratulated the ACF for this initiative and said that the standards of the examination is at the highest level: “In the International Judo Federation and the European Judo Union, kata and belt exams are organized in this form. It is very important for the athletes who have just started judo to take the exam in accordance with the latest rules applied by the European Judo Union for their future development in the field of education. In the future, in the field of education and there will be a very important development in kata.
