This is historic and it should happen in 2024: NASA will send an astronaut to the Moon. In a press release of Wednesday, December 9, the US space agency, NASA, has released new information about the Artemis program, which aims to send a woman and a man to the moon in 2024.
“Today, we would like to introduce our shortlisted Artemis team to you who will help us pave the way for our next human missions on and around the Moon.”, announces NASA in a tweet accompanied by a video presentation.
It is part of the human spirit to explore.

In all, 18 astronauts, nine women and nine men, were shortlisted by Mike Pence, the Vice President of the United States. “I give you the names of the heroes who will take care of us on the Moon and beyond, the Artemis generation”, said the vice president. “It’s amazing to think the next man and first woman on the moon are on this list. Team Artemis represents the future of American space exploration, and he’s brilliant.”
Among the astronauts, figure in particular Christina Koch, the woman who had the longest stay in space, a total of 328 days, details NASA. Stephanie Wilson, an astronaut since 1996, as well as Kayla Barron, the youngest of them, born in 1987, are also on this list.
