The appointments by the President of the House of Representatives of three members of the National Electricity Regulatory Authority (ANRE) are “invalid and lack legitimacy according to the logic of the Constitution and the law,” said PJD elected officials in the Lower House on Sunday evening.

In a press release issued at the end of an exceptional meeting and taken over by the PJD.ma site, the elected representatives of the Lampe expressed their “deep dissatisfaction with the methodology with which the President of the House of Representatives managed these appointments, far from democratic and constitutional logic”. And to consider that Habib El Malki has “again violated the requirements of the rules of procedure of the Chamber, especially article 347”.

While ensuring that the office of elected officials of the PJD in the lower house “rejects the three appointments”, the parliamentarians of the party in power recall having already denounced “those which preceded it”. The press release cites those at the High Authority for Audiovisual Communication (HACA) and that within the Commission for the Right of Access to Information (CDAI). Appointments which “were all made individually without prior consultation with members of the Bureau of the House of Representatives, heads of parliamentary groups and with a narrow and unilateral logic which does not take into account political pluralism, parity and equality. specialization, ”they add. And to recall “the apologies” presented by the President of the House of Representatives, following these appointments in 2018.

The PJD deputies thus call for the holding of an “emergency meeting to discuss the issue of these appointments and (…) put a definitive end to these unilateral decisions”.
