It is not clear whether GERB will vote or not, how they will do it in the BSP and whether Vazrazhdane will keep its promise to boycott

“The election of the BNB chief will not cause an earthquake and will not destroy the coalition.” This was once again sworn in by a member of the government – Deputy Energy Minister Plamen Danailov, to bTV on Monday.

And the 3-hour meeting of the coalition council earlier on Sunday did not answer which of the two is running or whether it is running for office.

Despite the previously declared and long-term neutrality, GERB and MRF seem to have made their choice in favor of Karimanski. Thus, deputies rely on the activity of Boyko Borissov’s party in search of formal administrative omissions in Andrei Gyurov’s documents, as well as approving remarks every time his rival Karimanski answered their questions during the hearing in the budget committee.
In this configuration, the votes of the BSP may be decisive. Whether the Socialists also expect a deputy governor can be guessed.
However, GERB is an impulsive party and may not vote for anyone. It is not clear whether this promise will be kept by the loudest in the parliament – “Vazrazhdane”.
