The results from June once again showed an advantage in the sales of Wuling Hongguang Mini EV over its closest competitors Tesla Model 3 and Tesla Model Y, which are ranked second and third, respectively. The Chinese model sold 29,143 copies in the Celestial Empire, while the Americans showed results of 16,515 and 11,623 cars.

It is worth noting that the volume of the Mini EV is even equal to that of some gasoline models. The most popular traditional cars in China, the Nissan Sylphy and Volkswagen Lavida sold 41,191 and 37,369 units, which is not much more than Wuling. And the Chinese managed to overtake the Toyota Corolla, whose circulation is less than 29 thousand copies.

Nevertheless, despite the final results, the production of the Mini EV is not complete. The design capacity of the company that manufactures it is 50 thousand vehicles per year. However, the existing shortage of chips does not allow the brand to meet existing demand.

But even electronics problems could not adversely affect the results of the first 6 months of this year. During this period, Wuling managed to sell 158 thousand Mini EVs. Experts are confident that maintaining the current pace, the brand will be able to cross the limit of 300 thousand copies sold in one year.
