“For Sale: Former B&B Full of Love Participant Jacob de Vries’ Enormous Villa with Million Euro Garden in the Portuguese Algarve”

Some time ago, De Vries decided on his paradise near Albufeira to put up for salebecause he wants to be mortgage-free. “It’s a scary, uncertain world and I depend with the b&b on people who can travel in freedom,” he explains to this site. “I don’t want to leave and I’m not really leaving, I’ve already set my eye on a piece of land nearby with amazing possibilities.”

The villa, which was featured extensively in the first season of B&B Full of Love, is located on a hilltop and has panoramic views of the area and the Atlantic Ocean. The total living area is 1500 meters and the house has ten bedrooms, two separate guest rooms and fourteen bathrooms. There is a swimming pool and a tennis court where professional tennis players regularly train. There is also a yoga room, a game room, a duck pond and a tropical garden.

There is a wealth of plants in that garden, says Jacob. After he bought the house in 1999, which was only 500 square meters at the time, he turned the desert it was into an oasis with palm trees, exotic cacti and fruit trees. is, but in that garden alone there are plants worth 1 million euros together.”

He makes a calculation: 1500 square meters with a price of 2500 euros per square meter (‘nothing strange’), that garden, the special location and the possibility to build another 1500 square meters on it. Moreover, he says he has to pay a lot of tax on it and pay off his mortgage. “I don’t like it that much. I simply need this to be able to continue,” says De Vries. “Around here at Quinta do Lago, a resort for the rich where Louis van Gaal, among others, has his villa, you can’t even buy a third of the house I have for 8 million.”

In fact, he had already sold the house recently. The purchase contract was already ready, but the buyer backed out at the last minute. ,,A man with Parkinson’s, with plenty of money, who wanted to live here for the last time, and could easily receive friends and family. But his environment did not agree,” says De Vries. So now I’m just waiting for a new buyer. And if that doesn’t work, I have a plan B. Then I will build new guest apartments myself. That is certainly full all year round.”

Jacob tried through B&B Full of Love to get a wife in 2021, but that failed miserably. He received four women who did not click at all. After the recordings he did have a relationship with one of the letter writers who was not featured in the program, but that eventually broke down. “But now I have had a nice new girlfriend for six months,” says De Vries, who also had his own reality show on Videoland last year.
