A lot of attention has already been given on social media to the typical plain v-neck sweaters of virologist Marc Van Ranst. But on Thursday evening, the virologist broke that pattern. He chose a sweater with the inscription ‘We understand each other’, the title of the album by Tourist LeMC. “This is to support the culture sector,” he said during the VTM News. With the striking choice of clothing, he wants to draw more attention to the ‘Front Line for the Frontliners’ campaign of the Ancienne Belgique. The AB wishes to thank the care providers who competed against Covid-19 in recent months. The AB therefore reserves the first row for healthcare staff until the end of the year.
The campaign kicks off on Saturday July 11 with a concert by Tourist LeMC. That concert has already sold out.
