Four childhood friends launched the Strasbourg Distillery last year, an “urban and responsible micro-distillery that makes locally produced alcohols,” explains one of them, Arnaud Henry.
Gin, vodka and “malt spirit”
The distillery produces three types of alcohol: gin, vodka and a “malt spirit”, “a whiskey that cannot be aged, a whiskey in the making”, popularises the specialist.
“The supply of raw materials is done, as far as possible, from local producers”, adds the co-manager.
A first for almost 30 years?
Shortly before the deconfinement, the team said it was “impatient to be able to work with local bars in order to offer them our products”.
According to Arnaud Henry, there had been no distillery in Strasbourg for nearly 30 years.
