For Honor will finally get crossplay

After more than five years of waiting, For Honor will finally receive support for crossplay. A Ubisoft revealed that the chance for players on different platforms to play together will be added to a batch of content for the game’s sixth year.

Crossplay will be implemented in two phases in For Honor. The first will be released on March 17 for PC, PlayStation and Xbox, introducing matchmaking in the three groups for the PVP and PVE modes.

It will only be in the second phase that players will be able to enjoy the campaign as a group, without the game’s platform being a limiting factor. The second phase is currently in development and will be released on an unspecified date.

In addition to crossplay, the For Honor intends to deepen the approach to the mythology and history of Heathmoor in the sixth cycle. The game’s new year will focus on one of four relics, each with a story to tell. “Fantasy is really reaching another level that we’ve never seen before,” said Michael Porrazzo, the game’s producer.

For Honor mixes RPG elements with medieval tactical combat. The title was produced by Ubisoft Montreal (Child of Light, Watch Dogs) for PC and PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
