Roma have begun moving to settle on a replacement for Portuguese Jose Mourinho, who is close to leaving at the end of the current season.
Calciomercato newspaper said that contacts are continuing between Roma and Mourinho, but the renewal file has not been discussed yet.
Mourinho’s replacement
She explained that the matter is not about money for the Portuguese coach, especially since he rejected offers from Saudi Arabia last summer, but rather there are technical guarantees that he needs to continue.
Calciomercato indicated that Mourinho wants more guarantees regarding Dybala and Lukaku, and to ensure that they continue in the ranks of Wolves.
The Italian newspaper confirmed that Roma wants to secure itself if Mourinho decides to leave at the end of the season and not extend the contract, so he decided to search early for an alternative.
Roma’s attention is turning to Raffaele Palladino, the youngest manager in the Italian League, who leads the Monza team and provides outstanding results with him.
Palladino has a contract with Monza that expires in June 2024, like Mourinho with Roma, so he may be the ideal choice to succeed the Special One.
Monza occupies ninth place in the Italian League standings with 18 points, after 13 rounds, where it won 4 times, lost 3 and tied 6.
Rome’s position
While Roma, under Mourinho’s leadership, is in fifth place in the Serie A table with 21 points, and in the European League it is in second place behind leaders Slavia Prague.
Roma will be a guest of the Servette Geneva team, at a quarter to eight in the evening today, Thursday, in the fifth round of the competition.
