For her 20 years of career, Lorie revisits her flagship hits with other artists

The singer is accompanied by Bilal Hassani, Brö and Piche in the first volume of Hyper Lorie, an album to celebrate her twenty years of career.

His hits rocked the childhood of many. Lorie is back Friday January 26 with the first part of a new album, revisiting her most famous songs. In Hyper Lorie volume 1, the Week-end singer does not return alone but with several singers from the new generation.

A “completely different direction”

Brö joins her on the tube Sur un air latino, Bilal Hassani on Play, the drag queen Piche on I will be (your best friend), Adé on J’ai need d’amour or even the pop singer Kalika on 2lor in me.

“We went in a completely different direction from the original version by mixing the two universes,” Lorie explains to BFMTV.

Each artist chose the title they wanted to cover, adding their own touch to it. Lorie’s hits take on a new look, with even more modern, pop and electro sounds.

A second part planned for February

Collaborations that were close to the singer’s heart. Because if Lorie wanted to celebrate her 20th career, she was still hesitant about what form this celebration should take. The idea came to him while reading interviews with young artists.

“When we asked them the question, the first concert? Lorie. The first album purchased? Lorie. Posting it in the room? Lorie. And I said to myself that maybe there was something to do with them because there, it’s me who listens to them,” she says.

“When Adé came, Piche, Bilal, in the studio they were there saying ‘I’m dreaming, I’m dreaming, I’m in the studio with Lorie’. They’re like crazy, they can’t believe it, it’s enough funny. I didn’t realize this ‘idol’ side”, adds the singer.

Bilal, Adé and Kalika are not the only ones to have been able to collaborate with the one who accompanied them in their youth: other collaborations will be found in the second part of the album, scheduled for February.
