Thanks to the mobilization of nearly 2,000 billion CFA francs by the services of the plate, Mali was able to thwart the predictions of the ECOWAS embargo against our country. Hence the satisfaction of the authorities of the transition. During this reception at the Primature, the two ministers were accompanied by four central directors, namely that of Domains and Land Registry, Abdoulaye Dicko, of Customs, Amadou Konaté, of Treasury and Accounting, Boubacar Ben Bouillé and of taxes, Mathias Konaté.

Our country, Mali went through an extremely difficult context in 2022 following the economic and financial embargo of ECOWAS and UEMOA accentuated by war in Ukraine. Despite these illegal and illegitimate sanctions imposed on the sovereign people of Mali thanks to the managerial leadership and the titanic work of Mr. Bréhima KAMENA, Minister of Town Planning, Housing, Lands, Territorial Development and Population and Alfousseni Sanou, Minister of Economy and Finance, the State of Mali has been able to ensure the salaries of civil servants and meet the sovereign expenses of our armed and security forces, thanks to the achievement of the objectives of recipes assigned to the various services on the plate. In particular the tax service, with a mobilization of more than 995 billion CFA francs on a revised annual target of nearly 987 billion, or more than 100.89%; the Lands and Cadastral Service paid more than 160 billion CFA francs to the Treasury for an initial objective of 151 billion CFA francs, as for the men of Inspector Amadou Konaté, Customs also exceeded its revenue target which was 600 billion of our francs, i.e. a total balance sheet of more than 1,700 billion CFA francs paid into the coffers of the public treasury. For all these financial performances achieved in a context of economic, financial and security crisis, that Prime Minister Dr Choguel Kokalla Maiga wanted to meet the heads of the finance departments and that of the domains to thank them warmly and encourage them to maintain the course for 2023. This audience, which took place at the prime minister’s office, in addition to ministers Sanou and Kamena, the head of government shook hands with the national director of the Domain and Cadastre Mr. Abdoulaye Dicko, the director general of Customs, the Inspector General, Amadou Konaté, the Director General of Taxes, Mr. Mathias Konaté and the National Director of the Treasury and Public Accounting, Mr. Boubacar Ben Bouillé. These had a few weeks earlier letters of congratulations from the Minister of the Economy.

In addition to the thanks, these soldiers of the economy received the congratulations of the head of government on behalf of the president of the transition Col. Assimi Goita. Without the labor of Hercules slaughtered by his fiery statesmen, the consequences of the embargo imposed on our country would be devastating for our economy, as well as for the functioning of the transition and even the social fabric.

This is why in his speech, Prime Minister Choguel Maiga revealed to the recipients that “In the name of the President of the Transition Head of State, Colonel Assimi Goïta, I would like to congratulate and encourage you, the soldiers of the economy for the efforts you continue to make to enable the State to meet its commitments. They are among those who have restored Mali’s sovereignty with the Defense and Security Forces, but they are not visible. ” he added.

Continuing, Dr. Choguel Kokalla Maïga thus intends to express all the gratitude of the Nation to those responsible for the services of the Assiette which are Customs, Taxes, Treasury and Domains. This, in the presence of the Ministers of Supervision: Finance and Domains.
