For Giorgia Meloni “Imagine” is «the anthem of the globalist homologation»

Guest on La7 of the episode of “In Onda” on Tuesday, the president of Fratelli d’Italia Giorgia Meloni answered a question by Luca Telese on the song “Imagine” by John Lennon. Specifically, Telese asked her if she would make her daughter sing it. Meloni replied:

«Well, it’s not a song whose lyrics I’m passionate about. He says there are no religions, that there are no nations. It is the anthem of globalist approval. I frankly stay somewhere else: for me, identity is a value. Then it’s a beautiful song. If one, say, does not understand English and does not hear the lyrics, the song is fantastic ».

The question about “Imagine” came because in early July Susanna Ceccardi, MEP and candidate for the League in the regional elections in Tuscany, had it defined, quoting Lennon and agreeing, “a Marxist-inspired song”.

“Imagine” was released on an album of the same name, Lennon’s fifth solo album, in 1971. It is one of the best-known songs of all time, recanted by hundreds of artists, including Madonna, Lady Gaga, Diana Ross and Elton John.
