For FPI, SKT of the Ministry of Home Affairs Has No Benefit: National Okezone

JAKARTA – Secretary for Legal Aid DPP Islamic Defenders Front (REIT) Aziz Yanuar emphasized that he does not care about the FPI organization that is not registered with the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri).

Because according to Aziz, the Ministry of Home Affairs’ Registered Certificate (SKT) has no benefit for FPI. This is because the mass organization led by FPI Grand Imam Habib Rizieq Shihab will continue to be the defenders of Islam in the country.

“Whether an SKT is published or not, there is no benefit for FPI. Without an SKT, FPI will still be a defender of religion and a servant of the people,” Aziz told Okezone in Jakarta, Sunday (22/11/2020).

Furthermore, according to Aziz, social organizations are not obliged to register to obtain SKT. Because with the SKT it is only for obtaining assistance from the State Budget (APBN).

“FPI has so far been fundally independent, never asked for APBN funds,” he said.

As is known, the Ministry of Home Affairs previously confirmed that FPI was not registered since the registered certificate (SKT) of its mass organization ended in June 2019.

Kapuspen Kemendagri Benny Irawan said FPI mass organizations have not submitted AD / ART. So, the Ministry of Home Affairs has not submitted the SKT with the figure of Habib Rizieq Shihab.

“FPI was once registered as one of the mass organizations at the Ministry of Home Affairs, its registered status ends in June 2019,” Benny said when confirmed by Okezone, Friday (11/20/2020).
