Jennifer Lopez tells on her personal fan site Onthejlo.com that Ben Affleck’s marriage proposal wasn’t all that special, but it was the most romantic thing that ever happened to her.

On Friday evening, the 52-year-old singer revealed on her fan site that she and the 49-year-old actor had become engaged, eighteen years after they broke off their previous engagement in January 2004. In a new video, the actress describes how the proposal went.
“Did you ever think your biggest dream could come true?” she says. “Saturday night, in my favorite place on earth – in the hot tub – my great love got down on one knee and proposed to me. I was totally taken by surprise and just looked into his eyes laughing and crying, trying to keep my head up that this was happening again after twenty years. I was literally speechless and he asked: Is that a yes? I said: Yes, of course that is a yes!”
“I smiled so hard and the tears ran down my cheeks, I felt so incredibly happy and complete. It wasn’t anything special at all, but it was the most romantic thing I could have ever imagined… just a quiet Saturday night at home, two people who promise to always be there for each other. Two very happy people. Who have been given a second chance at true love.”
The star also referenced her green diamond engagement ring: “Green has always been my lucky color, and now it certainly always will be.”
