Within the framework of the World Blood Donor Day, which was commemorated on Tuesday, yesterday, a blood collection was carried out in the SUM of El Diario, co-organized between Fundayt and the Central Blood Bank Foundation.
A considerable number of people came to our headquarters to “donate life”, between 8 and 12:30.
“The last campaign in our city was carried out in February of this year and we have two more scheduled for September and November. We have also carried out campaigns in Corral de Bustos, Etruria, Ucacha and Santa Eufemia, the next one is in Hernando”, said the secretary of Fundayt, Analía Ramírez, who added that “more and more young people are joining” the campaigns. .
“The decision to donate blood can save a life, or even several, if the donation is separated by components (red blood cells, platelets and plasma). A little bit of something from you can do a lot for others, because every time you donate blood, you save or improve up to three lives, since they can be used individually for patients with specific diseases, ”he remarked.
