Pablo Moyanoleader of the Truckers union, announced that he will file a criminal complaint against the YouTuber known as The Presto for digital harassment. The accused had indirectly said in one of his videos that Moyano’s ex-wife had died of dubious causes in one of the union’s clinics, therefore, he demanded the exhumation of her body.
Moyano, visibly affected by the accusations, expressed that El Presto had “violated elementary barriers to freedom of expression and turned its activity into a commission of repeated crimes.” In a statement, he denounced the political strategy of using slander and stressed that Argentine union leaders are accustomed to this “dirty game.”
Together with his legal representative, Daniel Llermanos, Moyano will present the criminal complaint against Eduardo Prestofilippo, alias El Presto, for “digital harassment and incitement to violence.” In the statement, Moyano stressed that the YouTuber stated on Instagram that he “threatens democracy” in Argentina and, in addition, suggested the exhumation of the body of his late wife.
The phrase that made Moyano explode with fury
El Presto, in a controversial statement, stated: «Pablo Moyano is threatening that the country will stop. If Pablo Moyano threatens democracy, what needs to be done is very simple: ask for the exhumation of the body of his deceased wife. He added details about the lack of an autopsy in the case and stated that the woman was treated at a clinic linked to the trucking union.
«Pablo Moyano’s wife died, no autopsy was performed, she was treated at a Truckers clinic. One day the Moyanos threatened Elisa Carrió and from the Congressional bench she said: why don’t we ask for the exhumation of the body of Pablo Moyano’s wife. “Not a single truck driver was left threatening Carrió,” the journalist stated that on another occasion she lost a trial against Fabiola Yanez for slander and slander where he received a sentence of 30 days of house arrest.
Moyano announced that he will demand that Prestofilippo be “severely sentenced” to prison for his “slanderous statements” and will ask that the “immediate removal, blocking and deindexation of the offending publications” be ordered. In addition, he emphasized a legal precedent that aggravates the situation of El Presto, who has a previous conviction from the Contravention and Misdemeanor Chamber of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires for other acts.
